Mont-Royal Summit Quest
The Mont-Royal Summit Quest is a road ultramarathon held around Mont-Royal and Beaconsfield on 30 and 31 October 2026. The event offers two distances and has reached capacity; registrations are closed and a waiting list is maintained.
- 50 km
- 100 km
Entry fees for 2026 are listed as 55 $ for the 50 km and 75 $ for the 100 km. The 100 km starts from the Mont-Royal chalet and the 50 km starts in Beaconsfield. The course is mostly flat except for the climb of Mont-Royal, and it runs on open roads where participants must obey traffic laws and signage.
Logistics and support include aid stations approximately every 5 to 8 km offering water, Coke, Gatorade and varied food. A mobile support vehicle will follow runners during the night portion of the 100 km. Drop bags are accepted for the 100 km but not for the 50 km. A shuttle is offered to 50 km participants from Parc Jeanne-Mance to the Beaconsfield start for a fee of 10 $ with limited seats.
Equipment requirements note that a headlamp is mandatory for the 100 km and recommended for the early part of the 50 km. The organizer provides a GPX file and minimal course markings, so participants are expected to know the route. Refund requests are accepted until 30 September 2026. The event is recognized by Ultra Marathon Canada and records exist for both distances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
