About the race
Mont-Royal Summit Quest is an annual road ultra between Mont-Royal and Beaconsfield, created in 2003. The 2026 edition takes place on 30 and 31 October and offers two distance options.

The 2026 edition is sold out and registrations are handled via a waiting list. Entry fees are listed as 55 $ for the 50 km and 75 $ for the 100 km. Start locations are specified: the 100 km begins at the Chalet du Mont-Royal and the 50 km begins in Beaconsfield. The GPX track for the 50 km is published for download.
An eight week free training plan with weekly structure and a coach video is available. A paid shuttle runs from Parc Jeanne-Mance to the 50 km start; seats are limited and the fee is 10 $.
Race logistics note that a headlamp is mandatory for the 100 km and recommended for the early kilometres of the 50 km. Drop bags are allowed for the 100 km only. Aid stations appear roughly every 5 to 8 km and provide water, Coke, Gatorade and varied food. Public toilets are available at the start area and along the route. The course is primarily on open roads, relatively flat except for the Mont-Royal climb, and will be minimally marked; participants are advised to download the provided GPX file and to follow traffic regulations. Refunds are accepted until 30 September 2026. Record times include 3 h 17 for 50 km and 7 h 54 for 100 km. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
