MonsterDash - Denver
MonsterDash - Denver takes place at Sloan's Lake Park and includes multiple looped race distances and a finish area festival. The event offers a race expo with local vendors, snacks, a coffee truck, and themed music and inflatables in the park.
Course and distances are organized within the park. The 5k is one loop and the 10k is two loops on the same course. The 10k course has three water stops located at about 1.5 miles, 3.1 miles and 4.5 miles, and leaders are guided by a cyclist. The course is described as flat and runs near trees and mountain views.
Other on-site activities include a finish area carnival with BBQ items, sponsored drinks, a popcorn and cotton candy station, carnival games, a pie eating contest, and a selfie wall. Awards are given for the 5k and the 10k in age groups. A kids mile is held for ages 3 to 12 on a short out-and-back loop; parents may run with children. A costume contest will recognize categories such as best family costume, best clowns, most creative and most original.
Field capacity for the Denver race is limited to 600 runners. Packet pickup and race chip pickup are arranged on race morning at Sloan's Lake Park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
