Monster Dash Half Marathon - Long Beach
The event offers four distances on Saturday, October 24, 2026, along the Long Beach Shoreline Path at 5400 E Ocean Blvd in Belmont Shores. The course is an open, marked beach path with out and back loops and shared use by pedestrians, runners, and cyclists, so participants are asked to be courteous to others.
Distances offered:
- 5 km out and back route
- 10 km two 5 km loops
- 15 km three 5 km loops
- Half marathon three 4.36 mile loops
An aid station is positioned at the turnaround at the start and finish area and provides water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels. Registration includes custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, free photos and videos, live results at finish, assorted snacks and samples, and access to the A Better World Running app with race media and tracking features. Group discounts are available for multi-person registrations and larger group options are arranged through the organizer.
The half marathon has a 3 hour and 15 minute time limit; runners who need additional time may request an early start by contacting the organizer. Transfers to a later date or to another participant are permitted by contacting the organizer. The event is described as Halloween themed with costume elements and family friendly elements.
