Monster Dash 5K and Kids' Fun Run at Manito Park
The event comprises a chip-timed 5K road race and a separate Kids' Fun Run offered in shorter distances. Both events take place at the Lower Manito Park Picnic Shelter, 1702 S Grand Blvd, Spokane, WA 99203.
Packet pick-up is available at Manito Park on the day of the event. The Kids' Fun Run offers distance choices immediately before the start; options finish with candy goodie bags for children as they cross the finish line. Adults may walk or run alongside children for the entire kids course.
Registration fees and T-shirt guarantees are stated for registrations completed by October 12: a $35 fee for the 5K with a T-shirt and a $17 fee for the Kids' Fun Run with a T-shirt. Prizes are awarded to overall winners and ribbons to age category winners.
All proceeds from the event are donated to Active4Youth, a local nonprofit that provides an elementary running program at no cost to children in Spokane Public Schools, West Valley School District, and Central Valley School District, and supports youth sports and after-school activity opportunities.
