Monster Colour 5k Edmonton
Monster Colour 5k Edmonton is a colour event held at Northeast River Valley Park, 903 153 Ave NE, Edmonton, AB T5Y 6K8, on September 12, 2026. The event combines a 5k loop with inflatable monster features placed around the course and multiple colour stations that include coloured powder, bubbles, and music. Participants run, jog, walk, or dance through the course and receive a finishers medal at the end of the 5k option.
The event also includes a separate festival area with a DJ, a dance party, merchandise stalls, and entertainment that does not require participation in the run. Kids 5 and under may attend the run without registering; children aged 8 and under must be accompanied by a participating adult aged 18 or older. Little Monsters ticket options provide a medal, colour packs, a buff, and a light up headband for young children.
Logistics noted by the organizer include on‑site race kit pick up only and no shipping of kits, free parking in and around the park, and staggered start waves every 10 minutes. Wheelchairs, strollers, and pushchairs are permitted but the course terrain may vary, including hills, roads, pathways, grass, and unpaved trails.
