Event Overview
Monster Colour 5k Edmonton, also known as Canada's Colour Run, is a unique colour event featuring a 5 km loop course. The event takes place at Northeast River Valley Park in Edmonton on September 12, 2026.
Course and Experience
The course includes inflatable monsters, colour stations with coloured powder and bubbles, and varied terrain such as hills, roads, pathways, grass, and unpaved trails. Participants can run, walk, or dance through the course. A festival atmosphere with music and a DJ is present at the finish area.
Participation Options
- Monster 5k: A 5 km event for ages 5 to 99. All participants receive a finisher's medal.
- Monster Festival: A colourful dance party with inflatable monsters and colour powder. Participation in the run is not required.
- Little Monsters: For children 5 and under who wish to receive a finisher's medallion, colour packs, a buff, and an alien light-up headband.
Event Details
Start waves are staggered. Race kit pick-up is only available on event day. Parking is free in and around the park. Participants aged 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Wheelchairs, strollers, and pushchairs are permitted, but the terrain may vary.
Post-Event
After finishing, participants can enjoy a colour festival with music and photo opportunities. Air-blowers are available for cleaning up.
