Monster Colour 5k Edmonton
Monster Colour 5k takes place on September 12, 2026 at Northeast River Valley Park in Edmonton. The event features a 5 km loop with inflatable monsters placed around the course and multiple stations offering coloured powder, bubbles and music. Finishers of the 5k receive a medal and the course leads into an on-site music festival.
Ticket categories include a Monster 5k entry, a Monster Festival pass for access to the post-run music and activities, and a Little Monsters ticket for children age 5 and under that includes a finisher medallion, colour packs, a buff and a light-up headband. Pricing varies by category and by date of purchase.
Race kits are not shipped and there is no pre-event kit pickup; kit distribution is handled on the day with additional staff at registration to manage lines. Parking is free in and around the park. Participants aged 8 and under must be accompanied by a participating adult aged 18 or older. Wheelchairs, strollers and pushchairs are permitted but the terrain may include hills, roads, pathways, grass and unpaved trails.
The hosting charity will send an event information pack by email a couple of weeks before the date. Safety notes advise faster runners to keep left and walkers and strollers to keep right while on course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
