Monster Colour 5k Calgary
Monster Colour 5k takes place on September 19, 2026 at North Glenmore Park, 7305 Crowchild Trail SW, Calgary. The event combines a 5 km course with a festival area featuring music and on-site entertainment.
The course includes inflatable monster structures and multiple colour and bubble stations. Organizers state there are four powder stations along the route and music at various points. The festival area features a DJ, merchandise stalls and additional entertainment; participation in the festival does not require completing the 5k.
Race kits are not shipped and there is no pre-event kit pickup; kits and registration are handled on the day at the registration tables. Parking in and around the park is free but limited and is available on a first come first served basis.
Wheelchairs, strollers and pushchairs are permitted on the course, but the terrain may vary and include hills, roads, pathways, grass and unpaved trails. Safety guidance asks faster runners to keep left and walkers or strollers to keep right. Participants aged 8 and under must be accompanied by a participating adult aged 18 or older. Children 5 and under may attend without registering for the standard race ticket; a Little Monsters option provides a medallion, colour packs, a buff and a light-up headband for young participants.
