Monster Colour 5k Calgary
The event takes place at North Glenmore Park, 7305 Crowchild Trail SW, Calgary, T3E 5N5. It combines a 5k run with a colour festival and music. Inflatable monsters line the course and there are colour powder stations, bubble stations, and music at several points along the route.
Participants may run, walk, or dance through the course. Start waves are released at ten minute intervals. Wheelchairs, strollers, and pushchairs are permitted, but terrain varies and includes hills, roads, pathways, grass, and unpaved trails. Participants must wear their race wristband for identification. Faster runners are asked to keep to the left while walkers and those with strollers keep to the right.
Children aged 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or older. Children 5 and under can take part in the run without registering but will not receive a medallion or colour pack at the finish unless a kids ticket is purchased. The colour festival is available separately and does not require participation in the 5k.
Race kits are not available before event day and will not be shipped. Parking in and around the park is free but limited and operates on a first come first served basis. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
