Monster Colour 5k Calgary
Monster Colour 5k takes place on September 19, 2026 at North Glenmore Park in Calgary. The event combines a 5 km fun run with a separate colour festival area featuring a DJ and live music. Inflatable monsters are placed around the course and participants pass through colour and bubble stations that release powder and play music.
There are four colour stations along the route. Course surfaces may vary by location and include hills, roads, pathways, grass and unpaved trails. Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted but terrain may affect accessibility. Faster runners are asked to keep left while walkers and those with strollers stay to the right.
Children aged 5 and under do not need to register for the run to take part and may attend free depending on ticket selection; they will not automatically receive a finisher medallion or colour pack without purchasing the children s pack. Participants aged 8 and under must be accompanied by a participating adult aged 18 or older. All participants should wear their race wrist band for identification.
Race kit pick up is available only on event day; kits are not shipped in advance. Parking in and around the park is free but limited and is first come first served. Event day features include merchandise stalls, on-stage warm up games led by an MC, selfie opportunities and air blowers for post-event cleanup.
