Monson Memorial Classic Half Marathon & 5K
The event includes a half marathon and a 5K race. It is a road race that began in 1996. The race is held in memory of two sisters, Kelly Waldron and Kathy Waldron Perry, who died eight months apart from cancer. Proceeds from past events have been donated to several cancer-related charities. Proceeds from the upcoming event will benefit Griffin's Friends, a nonprofit founded in 1994 that supports children with cancer and their families.
On race day, participants are encouraged to bring canned goods for donation to Open Pantry; a collection area will be available.

- Chip timing.
- A post-race party with live music and food.
- Prize money for the half marathon.
- Long sleeve tech shirts for the first 200 half marathon registrants by October 20.
- Finisher medals for all half marathon finishers.
- T-shirts for the first 100 5K registrants by October 20.
- The half marathon course is USATF-certified (MA15024JK).
