Monsal Mash
Monsal Mash is a trail race of 9.5 km with 500 m of ascent. The course has two distinct halves: an initial flat, fast section along Monsal Dale followed by a direct route up and down Fin Cop and a final climb to the finish at Monsal Head.
The event is based at The Stables, Monsal Head, Bakewell, DE45 1NL. Minimum age to enter is 18 and the event has a maximum capacity of 250 runners. The race is a new addition for 2026 and is sponsored by Rab.
Racing is governed by the Fell Runners Association licence and FRA rules. Competitors must carry the mandatory kit as listed in the race information. The use of GPS navigation or poles is not allowed and running with dogs is not allowed. Breaching these requirements may result in disqualification.
Parking is limited. There is a large paid public carpark near registration with public toilets and limited street parking in Little Longstone; Castlegate Lane B6465 is not available for parking. Prizegiving includes individual and team prizes across multiple age categories, and prizes are provided by event partners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
