Monroe Cross Trail 50 Mile Ultra
The Monroe Cross Trail 50 Mile Ultra is scheduled for January 23, 2027 in DeBary, Florida. The 6th annual event is a point to point race along paved multi-use trails in Volusia County, starting at Rotary Park in Edgewater and finishing at Central 28 Beer Company in DeBary.
The route uses the East Regional Rail Trail to Deltona, the Spring-to-Spring Trail from Gemini Springs through Lake Monroe Park, 17/92 over the bridge toward Wayside Park in Sanford, and the Riverside Walk Trail along the Lake Monroe shoreline to an approximate turnaround near mile 44. Runners return on 17/92 to the Central 28 finish.

There are five aid stations spaced roughly every 8 to 12 miles; participants must carry their own hydration bottles or packs and be prepared to be self supported between stations. Crew members may follow runners along the course and are welcome at the Central 28 finish area where food, drinks, and beer will be available.
This is a point to point event and participants must provide their own transportation to the start and pickup at the finish. The event will not provide transportation except for medical emergencies. Lights and reflective vests are required after dark and failure to have them will result in disqualification. A 14 hour cutoff applies to the 50 mile race. Course maps are provided for each distance.
