Race Overview
The MoMoFo 100k and 20 mile Fun Run takes place in the Morgan Monroe State Forest near Martinsville, Indiana. This trail event features a course through old growth forests, natural rock formations, lakes, and creeks. The terrain includes a mix of 85% single track, 11% forest service road, and 4% paved road.
Participants in the 100 km distance face approximately 8,500 feet of total elevation gain. This event begins in the evening and has a 20-hour cutoff time. The 100 km distance consists of three laps of a 20-mile loop. For those seeking a shorter distance, a 20-mile option is available, which consists of a single loop with a 6.5-hour time limit. Both the 100 km and the 20-mile distances have "Economy" registration options available for those who do not require event merchandise.

The event environment is characterized by typical southern Indiana summertime weather, including heat and humidity. Aid stations are positioned along the course to support runners during both the day and night portions of the races. Organized by the local trail running community, the event also raises funds to provide portable automated external defibrillators (AEDs) for aid stations.
