Event Overview
The Momentus Back Yard Ultra is a running event on May 30, 2026, at Williams Rushing Farm in Monroe, North Carolina. The farm is private property. There are two run options available.
Run Options
- Momentus Back Yard Ultra: This is a last-runner-standing event in the official Back Yard Ultra format. Participants must complete a 4.167-mile loop every hour, on the hour. The race continues until only one runner remains, with no predetermined finish distance. The entry fee is $105.
- Momentus Celebrity Fun Run: This is a single 4.167-mile loop that participants can run, ruck, jog, or walk at a relaxed pace. Local celebrities may participate. The entry fee is $55.
Course and Venue
The course is a trail loop of intermediate difficulty. The terrain includes hard-packed dirt, roots, rocks, gravel, and manicured grass. Each lap has approximately 100 feet of elevation gain. The event is held on private farmland.
Event Details
Participants and crew can expect music to be played throughout the race. Parking on-site is limited; each runner is permitted one standard-sized vehicle. Any additional crew vehicles must use a designated satellite parking lot with a shuttle service. Crews are welcome but must follow event guidelines. A designated driver is required for any runner who begins Lap 8 for safety reasons. Camping is allowed in a designated area on the farm during the race but not before the event day.
