Momentus Back Yard Ultra takes place at Williams Rushing Farm in Monroe, North Carolina. The event offers two options: the Back Yard Ultra format and a Celebrity Fun Run. The Back Yard Ultra uses a repeated 4.167 mile loop each hour, continuing until only one runner remains. The Celebrity Fun Run is a single 4.167 mile loop suitable for running, rucking, jogging, or walking. Entry fees listed are $115 for the Back Yard Ultra and $55 for the Celebrity Fun Run.
The trail is described as intermediate difficulty with mostly packed dirt, some roots and rocks, a small gravel section, areas of manicured grass, and about 100 feet of elevation gain per lap. The venue is private farmland and includes a designated village area for crews and spectators.

Crews are allowed in the village but on-site parking is limited to one approved vehicle per runner; RVs, oversized vans, and trailers are not permitted in the on-site lot and additional vehicles will use satellite parking with shuttle service. Contained fires and grills are permitted in the village; open fires are not allowed. Music will play throughout the event and participants may contribute to the event playlist.
