Molokai Holokai Hoʻolauleʻa 2026
The Molokai Holokai Hoʻolauleʻa is a two day festival on the island of Molokai organized by Youth in Motion. Day 1 centers on a cross channel paddling event from Maui to Molokai. Day 2 features on‑land and on‑water activities, local cultural workshops, live music, food vendors, and community events.
Safety and logistics are emphasized. The event allocates a substantial safety budget across the two days and provides individual GPS trackers for racers. Personal safety gear, including an official Safety Jersey and a reliable means of communication, is mandatory. Escort boats are not required for Day 1. On‑island transportation for people and gear, camping at Kaoaini Beach Park for a small fee, and luggage shuttles are provided as part of event logistics.
The festival supports youth programs and community funds. All event proceeds are used to sustain the festival, support Youth in Motion programs and insurance, build a scholarship fund, and maintain a community fund for local youth organizations. The event also runs a Virtual Molokai Holokai Global Challenge for off‑island participants.
