About the race
The Mohawk Towpath Byway Duathlon, held in Rexford, NY, features a challenging yet scenic course along the Mohawk Towpath Byway, a designated America’s Byway®. Participants complete a 2-mile run, followed by a 12-mile bike ride, and finish with another 2-mile run. The event starts, transitions, and finishes at Riverview Orchards.
The run course is flat and fast, while the bike course includes some newly paved sections and marked rough patches, with traffic control by volunteers. This USA Triathlon sanctioned event offers individual and relay team categories. Proceeds support the Friends of the Mohawk Towpath Scenic Byway, promoting local scenic and historic resources.
