Event Overview
The Mohawk Hudson River Marathon and Half Marathon is held in the Albany region of New York. The 2026 event is scheduled for October 11 and offers participants a choice between two distances:
- Full Marathon
- Half Marathon
The course traverses a mix of local bike trails and city streets, featuring views of the river and autumn fall foliage. The half marathon course is noted for a slight elevation decline and follows a route designed for speed. Both events are sanctioned by the USATF.
Participants have access to various amenities including a pacer team, elite athlete support, and medical services during the race. A formal coaching program is also available in partnership with Golden Runs, beginning in mid-July to assist runners with their training preparations. The event utilizes a point-to-point or mixed-surface route that bypasses many of the logistical difficulties often associated with large metropolitan races.
Packet pickup and awards are organized for both distances. The event also acts as a supporter of local community initiatives, such as The Food Pantries. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
