Event
The Moggill Marathon takes place on Sunday 17 May 2026 at 3451 Moggill Road, Moggill, Queensland. The event marks its fifth year and features courses that run through the hills and scenery of Brisbane’s western suburbs, including Mt Moggill and Kangaroo Gully. Proceeds will be distributed to local community groups and children’s cancer charities.
Race categories
- 42.2 km two laps of the half-marathon course - $135
- 21.1 km half marathon - $105
- 10 km scenic route through rolling terrain - $75
- 5 km fun run, downhill from Kangaroo Gully - $50
- 2 km fun run/walk for kids and families - $25
Entries include a finisher’s medal and choice of t-shirt or cap while stocks last. Registrants are advised to register at least seven weeks before the event to guarantee preferred clothing sizes. A 10% discount applies for families or teams of four or more, not valid with other offers. Prices include GST and mandatory charges.
Prizes and community impact
Prize money is listed for top finishers in several distances: Marathon and Half Marathon 1st $250, 2nd $150, 3rd $100; 10 km 1st $150, 2nd $100, 3rd $50. Additional prizes include a $500 team prize for the 5 km school or community team with the highest participation, a $250 school prize for the 2 km winner, and a $150 prize for best fancy dress.
