About the race
Mogadishu Mile 5K Run is scheduled for October 3, 2026, at Woodruff Riverfront Park, 1000 Bay Ave, Columbus, GA 31901. The event offers a 5 kilometer course; a route map is provided by the organizers. Pre-registration opens July 13 and closes October 2, 2026. Pre-registration fee is $40 through October 2.
Race day registration is available at a higher fee of $45 and those who register on race day are not guaranteed a shirt. Registrants who sign up after September 25 are also not guaranteed a shirt. In-person packet pick up and registration occur the day before at Big Dog Fleet Feet and on race day at Woodruff Park, with specific pick up windows announced by the organizers. There are multiple entry options listed for the same 5K distance, including a standard 5K, a 5K in full body armor, and a 5K with a stroller.
A virtual participation option is available through the Three Rangers Foundation for those who cannot attend in person; the event also sells an official 2026 Mog Mile T-shirt through the fund's online store. Proceeds and awareness efforts support the Army Ranger Lead The Way Fund, an organization that provides financial and care-related support to members of the 75th Ranger Regiment and their families and has provided over $21 million in support since its founding.
