Purpose, partners and special features
A portion of net proceeds will offset registration costs for participants with financial need and will support educational programs and resources for small minority-owned businesses in Palm Beach County. Two nonprofit organizations are named as partners in those efforts: the Black Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County and the Equity Entrepreneur Center. The Black Chamber is described as a 501(c)(6) organization; the Equity Entrepreneur Center is a 501(c)(3).
The Divine Nine 5K Challenge component is for fraternities and sororities, with trophies awarded to the fraternity and sorority that register the most members. Participating organizations use unique promo codes that direct a portion of proceeds to college scholarships administered through the National Pan-Hellenic Council of Palm Beach County. Greek Row tents are available for groups. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
