Event overview
The MLK5K/10K and Divine Nine 5K Challenge takes place on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Dan Calloway Recreation Complex, 1420 W 10th St., Riviera Beach, FL 33404. The MLK5K is in its fifth year and the organizer expects about 400 participants. The event includes in-person and virtual options and a set of youth races. Net proceeds support educational programs and provide resources to small minority-owned businesses in Palm Beach County. A portion of proceeds will also offset registration costs for participants who cannot cover the full fee. The Black Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County and the Equity Entrepreneur Center are named nonprofit partners involved with the event.

The Divine Nine 5K Challenge invites fraternities and sororities to compete for trophies awarded to the chapter with the most registered members. Promo codes for chapters will direct part of the proceeds to college scholarships administered by the National Pan-Hellenic Council of Palm Beach County. Greek Row will offer tent space for participating chapters. The race is part of the Palm Beaches Race Series, which lists multiple regional races for 2026.
