Event Overview
The MLBC Foundation 5k and Family Fun Run takes place in Morgantown, WV. The event address is 40 Donley Street. It features three race distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
- Student 5K
The Student 5K is open to participants aged 1 to 22.
Purpose and Community
All proceeds from the event benefit the MLBC Foundation's scholarship program. This program supports local students pursuing academic goals in the field of energy land management.
Course and Atmosphere
The route goes through Morgantown. An after-party is included with drinks, prizes, and music.
Participant Perks and Awards
Participants who register by April 13 are guaranteed a commemorative race shirt. A shirt is not guaranteed for registrations after this date.
Awards are presented for the 5K race. The top three overall male, female, and non-binary finishers receive awards. Age group awards are given to the top male and female finisher in each category:
- 19 and under
- 20-29
- 30-39
- 40-49
- 50-59
- 60+
Registration Details
Registration prices are listed for each event. The 5K costs $35, the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk costs $20, and the Student 5K costs $25. Prices for the 5K and 1 Mile events increase after February 28, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
