MKFD FIRED UP 5K
The event is the 13th annual community running day organized by the Mount Kisco Volunteer Fire Department on September 20, 2026, in Mount Kisco, NY. Runners start and finish in Kirby Plaza at the Mount Kisco Train Station and follow a course through the center of town.
The 5K course runs from Kirby Plaza, up Main Street past Northern Westchester Hospital, through Leonard Park (in and out), and returns down Main Street to finish back in Kirby Plaza. A separate kids dash takes place in the Kirby Plaza parking lot with heats divided by age.

Registration is by pre-registration only; there will be no day-of registration. Registration opens July 6, 2026, and closes on September 1, 2026, for the 5K; fees are listed for each event. Children aged 10 and under are eligible for the Kids Dash; pre-registration is required to ensure each child receives a t-shirt and additional participant items. T-shirts are not guaranteed for registrants who sign up after September 11, 2026. Proceeds from the event will go to training and equipment for the volunteer fire department’s personnel.
