The Mittag-Race: Skibergsteigen - Vertical is a ski mountaineering event scheduled for January 6, 2025, organized by the Deutscher Alpenverein Sektion Allgäu – Kempten e.V. and Ski-Club Immenstadt 1908 e.V. The race features a vertical climb of 680 meters over a distance of approximately 3.5 kilometers, starting from the valley station of the Mittagbahn to the mountain station.
In case of insufficient snow, an alternative route in the Tannheimer Tal will be used.
