Miracle Mile - Houlton
The Miracle Mile is an annual one mile, downhill, point to point race held in downtown Houlton, ME during the Midnight Madness festival. The event is open to runners and walkers and serves as the opening event of the local Midnight Madness celebrations.
The course begins at the intersection of Grant and Military Street, runs west toward downtown, and takes a slight right onto Main Street near County Yankee Grocer at about the halfway point. The finish is located in front of the County Co-Op in historic Market Square. Water is provided at the finish and a reception and award ceremony follow the race at the finish area.
The race is the primary fundraiser for a local foundation that provides a scholarship to Houlton area high school students who wish to pursue education and careers in nursing and medical fields. Registration opens May 17, 2026 and closes June 13, 2026. The registration fee is $15. Same day registration and check in are available at Military Street Baptist Church, 307 Military Street, and the church lot is used for official event parking.
