Event Details
The Miracle Hope 5K Run (Family Fun Run/Walk) is an annual event held in memory of Miracle Hope. The event raises money for the charity Healing Strides of Virginia, located in Boones Mill. Miracle Hope, who passed away in November 2019, enjoyed therapeutic horse riding at this center.
The event offers two participation options:
- A 5K race.
- A Virtual 5K.
Packet pickup is scheduled at two locations:
- Rocky Mount Church of God in Rocky Mount on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
- Ferguson Fitness in Roanoke on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 11:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Additional packet pickup is available on race day at the Rocky Mount Church of God from 7:15 AM to 7:45 AM.
Awards
The event features an expanded awards structure. Trophies are awarded to the top three male and female overall runners, as well as the top male and female Masters (40 and over) and Grand Masters (50 and over) winners. Medals are given to second-place Masters and Grand Masters winners.
Medals are also awarded to the top three male and female runners in each of 16 age groups. The age groups range from 9 and under to 80 and over.
