Minooka Summerfest 5k
The Minooka Summerfest 5k is a local running event held in downtown Minooka, Illinois. The race takes place on local village streets that are closed to vehicular traffic for the duration of the event. Participants follow an out and back course that features a paved surface and rolling hills.

The course includes split times marked at the 1 and 2-mile points to help runners track their pace. Water stations are positioned both along the course and at the finish line. Professional chip timing services are provided by J3 Timing, with results typically available online shortly after the completion of the race.
Participants are categorized by age, ranging from 11-14 through various five-year increments up to 80 and above. Awards are designated for the first overall male and female finishers, as well as for the top two individuals in each age category. Following the conclusion of the race, a ceremony and a raffle based on bib numbers are held under the registration tent.
Registration is available online or in person on the Friday evening before the race and on the morning of the event. Packet pickup is located at the intersection of Wabena Avenue and Mondamin Street, situated just past the train tracks for those arriving from Ridge Road and McEvilly Road.
