MINERVASTRONG Memorial 5K
The MINERVASTRONG Memorial 5K is the 13th annual memorial run held to raise funds for the Minervastrong Memorial Scholarship Fund. The scholarship fund was created after an accident in November 2014 that took the lives of three Minerva students. Proceeds benefit college bound students at Minerva High School.
The event takes place at Minerva High School, 501 Almeda Avenue, Minerva, Ohio. The course starts and ends on the stadium track and progresses through surrounding neighborhoods and a nearby park. The program includes an awards presentation and refreshments inside the football stadium.
Entry fees and race options are listed as follows:
- 5K Run/Walk with a race premium and shirt included for early registration
- One mile walk with a separate reduced entry fee
- Quarter mile kids run offered free of charge
Early registration pricing applies through late July with a higher fee on later registration and race day. Race organizers note a guaranteed race premium and shirt for those who register by the early deadline. Registration information is provided by the event organizers for each race year.
