Event
The Minchinhampton 10K is a measured road race held in Minchinhampton on country lanes and local roads. The race was established in 2009. Race headquarters are at Minchinhampton Academy and the start and finish are on the Great Park on the common behind the school. The minimum age for entry is 16 years. The event has an entry limit of 300 places and does not accept entries on the day.
Course and logistics
The distance is 6.2 miles (10K). The surface is mostly road (98%) with a small grass section (2%). Total ascent is 494 ft (151 m). The course highest point is 634 ft (193 m) and the lowest point is 371 ft (113 m). There is one hill and several undulations on the route. One water station is located just after 5K.
Entry, prizes and extras
The standard entry fee listed is £27.50 with an additional £2 fee for unaffiliated runners. All finishers receive a bespoke medal and a technical T-shirt; shirt size is guaranteed if booked before 25th February. Awards are given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed man and woman.
