Minchinhampton 10K
Minchinhampton 10K is a road race organised by Iamoutdoors around the town of Minchinhampton. Race HQ is at Minchinhampton Academy and the start and finish are at The Great Park on Minchinhampton Common. The event covers a single distance, 10K (6.2 miles), with most of the route on road.
The course is approximately 98% road and 2% grass, with undulating terrain and about 151 m of total ascent. The highest point is around 193 m and the lowest around 113 m. A notable uphill section occurs between 6 and 7 km, followed by a finish along Minchinhampton’s main street.
Entry is limited to 300 runners maximum and places close on 5th March or earlier if the field fills. Minimum age is 16 years. The stated entry fee is £27.50 with an additional £2 charge for unaffiliated runners. Finishers receive a bespoke medal and there are podium prizes for first to third place for men and women. A technical T shirt is offered with a size guarantee if ordered by 25th February. A water station is provided after 5K and a small post-race confection is mentioned among the finishers’ extras.
