Milo's 5K for the Homeless
Milo's 5K for the Homeless is a community road race held at Belmont Lake State Park in West Babylon, NY 11704. The event lists the Long Island Coalition for the Homeless as its beneficiary and provides race amenities and services around the finish area.
T-shirts are guaranteed for the first 100 registrants. The event offers live online, text, and email results, free finish line photos, and personalized bibs for entrants who register at least three weeks in advance. Community vendors and nonprofit organizations are present after the race.
The park is dog friendly; dogs must be on a leash at all times and should not be left unattended. Dog participants are asked to start at the back of the pack for safety. Awards include top male and top female overall, top male and top female in age groups 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, and 90 plus, plus prizes for the fastest dog and best dressed dog.
Bib pickup is handled by event staff beginning one hour before the event. Entrants must know their bib number to pick up their bib; a self lookup area is available for those who do not know their number. The event page indicates that online registration is closed and that registration will reopen ahead of the listed date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
