Milo's 5K for the Homeless
This event takes place at Belmont Lake State Park in West Babylon, New York. The course is designated for both runners and walkers, supporting the Long Island Coalition for the Homeless. Participants can expect a path through the park's scenic picnic areas and waterfront recreation spaces.

The event is dog friendly, allowing participants to bring their companions on a leash. For safety, those running with dogs are asked to start at the back of the group. Awards are presented to the top male and female finishers overall, as well as the winners in standard age categories ranging from 14 and under to 90 and over. Unique recognitions are also given for the fastest dog and the best dressed dog.
Amenities included with registration feature live text and email results, along with free finish line photographs and videos. The first 100 registrants are guaranteed an event t-shirt. Participants who register at least three weeks before the race day receive a personalized bib with their name. Following the run, attendees can meet with various community vendors and nonprofit organizations at the race site.
Bib pickup begins one hour before the event start. The park requires all dogs to remain attended and on a lead at all times. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
