Packet pick-up is available the day before the race at Oconee Outfitters in Milledgeville and on race morning. Finishers receive a medal. Awards are given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each age group. Overall 5K prize money is listed as $100 for first place, $50 for second, and $25 for third. Events will be held rain or shine; officials may cancel or change the event if conditions are not safe.
Course and logistics
The start and finish for 2025 are located on the Georgia Military College track adjacent to the Oconee River Greenway. Runners begin on the track, follow the Greenway paved trails for the main portion of the route, and finish on a remaining section of the track. Free parking is available inside the park and near the boat ramp, with additional parking adjacent to Georgia Military College. The start/finish can be accessed from both the Greenway and the college sides. The 5K course passes through the Greenway parking and entrance area; vehicles in that lot cannot be moved while the race is in progress.
