Milledgeville Turkey Trot - Oconee River Greenway
The event is the 3rd Annual Milledgeville Turkey Trot held on November 26, 2026 at the Oconee River Greenway in Milledgeville, Georgia. The Race is organized by the Oconee River Greenway Foundation, whose purposes include promoting economic growth and preservation of the Oconee River corridor, encouraging restoration and maintenance of historical, archaeological, and natural areas along the river, and helping establish and improve the Oconee River Greenway and Riverwalk as a community resource.
Race formats include in-person and virtual options. Distances offered:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Fun Run
- 400 Meter Tot Trot (6 & Under)
- Virtual 5K
Professional timing services will be provided with chip timing and live race results. Packet pick up is available the day before the event at Oconee Outfitters in Milledgeville and on race morning. Participants receive a finishers medal; awards are given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each age group. Overall 5K winners receive prize money of $100 for first, $50 for second, and $25 for third.
Registration opens on August 1 and closes on September 15. Registration fees listed for each event in the organizer information are $25 for the 5K, $10 for the 1 Mile, $5 for the 400 Meter Tot Trot, and $25 for the Virtual 5K. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
