Millburn-Short Hills First Aid Squad 5K Race : October 18, 2026
The event on October 18, 2026 in Millburn, New Jersey includes multiple 5K options organized by the Millburn-Short Hills Volunteer First Aid Squad. The course follows a paved route that begins on Glen Avenue, winds through South Mountain Reservation, climbs gradually toward South Orange Avenue, and returns downhill to the finish. The 5K will take place rain or shine.
Three participation options are offered: a timed 5K with official chip timing and posted results, an untimed 5K for walkers and runners with no official timing, and a Family Fun Run/Walk for ages 12 and under intended as a noncompetitive activity. Registration fees listed for the options are $35.00 for the timed 5K, $30.00 for the untimed 5K, and $5.00 for the Family Fun Run/Walk. Registration opens in June and closes in mid October according to each event option.
After the running events there is an open house at the First Aid Squad building in the parking lot at 188 Glen Avenue. Guests can tour the building and ambulances, meet volunteers, and have breakfast.
