Milford's Merry Miles of May - Brooksville, KY
Milford's Merry Miles of May is a community race day held at Milford Christian Church in Milford, Brooksville, Kentucky. The event includes a 3.1 mile road race and a separate kids fun run for younger participants. The course is described as flat and starts and finishes in the church parking lot, passing through hundreds of acres of surrounding farmland.
Along the route, runners run alongside the North Fork River near the 0.75 mile marker. Around the halfway point the course passes an old tobacco barn where a water stop is available. After the 3.1 mile event there is a postrace celebration with music, a meal, and a dessert auction. A pancake breakfast is also offered.
All proceeds support Milford Christian Church's annual Christmas Shop, which provides holiday gifts to local youth. In 2025 the Christmas Shop provided five to six gifts per child and served more than 350 children. The kids fun run covers 0.5 mile, is limited to ages nine and under, and includes a surprise gift for each finisher. To allow parents to participate in the 3.1 mile race, the church provides supervised viewing of a Christmas film inside the building during the event.
