Miles Per Hour
Miles Per Hour is an indoor one hour run held at McCormick Place in Chicago during the Chicago Auto Show on February 8, 2026. Participants run laps through the show floor and the expansive halls of McCormick Place, covering as much distance as they can in 60 minutes. Timing mats are placed at multiple locations on the course to record results.
The loop passes exhibit areas on the Auto Show floor, crosses the Grand Concourse bridge with views of the Chicago skyline, and runs along the Lakeside Center windows with views of Lake Michigan. Course features include long straightaways, zig-zag sections, and an incline when crossing the indoor bridge over Lake Shore Drive. Mile markers are posted at each mile and water plus Gatorade Endurance will be available at multiple aid stations.
Event services include packet pick-up and optional packet mailing, on-site gear check, finisher medals awarded only to finishers, a T-shirt, and an awards program. The MPH Cup is provided to the top male and female overall, and recognition awards are given to the top three in men's and women's age groups (14 & Under through 85 & Over). Age group awards are shipped after the event. The event is capped at 800 runners and follows USATF competition rules; the indoor course is not USATF certified. Refunds and deferrals are not issued.
