Miles on the Mohawk 10M - Schenectady, NY
The Miles on the Mohawk is a point-to-point 10 Mile road race beginning near Mabee Farm in Rotterdam Junction and finishing at Mohawk Harbor in Schenectady. The course runs primarily on the Mohawk River bike path and is largely flat. The course carries USATF certification NY22024JG.
Aid stations are located on the course and at least one portable toilet will be available at every water stop; additional portable toilets are available at Mohawk Harbor. On-course nutrition is not provided; runners are encouraged to carry their own fluids. Splits mats are used and results are published based on NET time while overall awards are determined by GUN time.
There is a 2:30 cut-off time for the 10 Mile (equivalent to a 15:00 per mile pace). Participants who fall behind the required pace may be removed from the course by sweep vehicles or picked up by a golf cart.
Packet pick-up is offered at dedicated locations in the days before the race and at the start on race day. A gear check is available at the start; items placed in the provided clear bag will be transported to the finish. A bus service is offered from Mohawk Harbor to the start for a fee.
Awards include cash prizes for the top three open and masters finishers, age-group awards based on NET time, and a finisher medal for all finishers.
