Miles for Music - Northampton
Miles for Music is an 8.2 mile race, relay, and walk that connects Downtown Amherst and Downtown Northampton along the Norwottuck Rail Trail. The event raises funds for two nonprofit live music venues, The Drake and The Iron Horse.
The route features live music stations along the rail trail and concludes with a finish celebration at Taste of Northampton. The event offers shuttle service to the start, finish, and relay points, and the first 500 registered participants receive a food voucher for Taste of Northampton. Participants who raise $100 receive a T shirt.
Distances offered:
- 8.2 Mile Run/Walk scenic point to point route from Amherst to Northampton
- Team Relay Challenge two person relay with one roughly 5 mile leg and one roughly 5K leg
- Walkers Welcome walkers may use the full course or relay options
Relay teams will hand off at TheQuarters in Hadley on the rail trail. Awards and prizes will be given across multiple categories for individual runners, relay teams, youth participants, and top fundraisers, including top finishers by gender and age and top fundraising teams.
