Miles for Music - Northampton

Miles for Music is an 8.1 mile race, relay, and walk on Sunday, September 13, 2026, linking downtown Amherst and downtown Northampton. The route follows the Norwottuck Rail Trail and features live music along the course to support two nonprofit venues, The Drake and The Iron Horse.

Participants can choose the full course, a two person relay, or to walk. The relay pairs one participant on a 5 mile leg with a second participant on a 3.1 mile leg, with the handoff at TheQuarters in Hadley on the rail trail. An official route map will be shared with participants by mid-August.

Registration includes entry to the event, a supported point to point course, shuttle service to start, finish and relay points, a finish celebration at Taste of Northampton, and a food voucher. A T shirt is available for participants who reach a specified fundraising level. The event lists awards for individual finishers, relay teams, youth categories, and top fundraisers.
