Miles for Music - Northampton
Miles for Music is an 8.1 mile race, relay, and walk connecting downtown Amherst and downtown Northampton along the Norwottuck Rail Trail. The event features live music along the route and supports two nonprofit music venues, The Drake and The Iron Horse, as part of a broader Valley effort to strengthen the local music ecosystem and downtown vitality.

- Walkers Welcome walkers may use the full course or relay options
Registration includes entry to the chosen category, a supported scenic course on the rail trail, live music along the route, shuttle service to start, finish, and relay points, and a finish celebration at Taste of Northampton. A food voucher for Taste of Northampton is provided to the first 500 registered participants. A race T-shirt is available for participants who raise $100 in fundraising.
Awards are given across multiple categories for individual runners, relay teams, youth participants, and top fundraisers. Event policies note it runs rain or shine, does not permit dogs, and has no refunds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
