Miles for Missions Raffle Run/Walk
The Miles for Missions Raffle Run/Walk is a specialized event located in Maumee, Ohio. This activity combines elements of running, walking, and orienteering within the Side Cut Metropark. Participants start at the Riverside Shelter and have 60 minutes to navigate through the park using trail maps.
The objective is to visit eight different raffle ticket stations strategically placed across the park grounds. There is no fixed course, as participants select their own routes to reach these stations; however, the most efficient path covers approximately 5.5 miles. After collecting tickets from the stations, runners and walkers return to the start to use their tickets for a prize drawing.
More than 20 raffle prizes are available, featuring items such as running store gift cards, local artwork, craft beverages, gift baskets, and toys. All participants have a chance to win regardless of how many tickets they successfully collect during the time limit.
Proceeds from the event support community development programs aimed at improving health and living environments. The event offers a registration option that includes a t-shirt for sponsors. Packet pick-up is available both at a local running store in Perrysburg and on-site at the park shelter prior to the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
