Miles for Missions 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run
The Miles for Missions is an annual running event held in Columbia, Louisiana. For this edition, the start and finish lines have moved back to the town center at First Baptist Church on Church Street. The event proceeds are used to fund summer mission trips for local youth.
Participants can choose from several event categories:

- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
The race is officially timed for both distances. All registered participants receive a finisher medal. Awards are presented to the first-place overall male and female runners. Additionally, first, second, and third-place medals are awarded across multiple age categories, ranging from 18 and under to 80 and older.
The event includes a family day following the races, featuring food and activities. Students currently in elementary through high school can participate in the runs through specific sponsorship options. While the organizers provide race shirts and medals, sizes are guaranteed only for those who register early. Registration for the primary running events remains open until the day before the race.
