Miles for Missions 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run
Miles for Missions is an annual 1 Mile Fun Run and 5k held in Columbia, Louisiana on April 25, 2026. Proceeds support youth participation in a summer mission trip. The event is officially timed and takes place at First Baptist Church, 404 Church St, Columbia LA 71418.
Organizers have worked with Spartan Fitness for race operations, and this year the start and finish will be at the church. A family day with food and activities follows the races. The event provides extra shirts and extra medals on race day, though sizes are not guaranteed. Every participant receives a finisher medal.
Awards include an overall prize for first place in the men's and women's divisions, plus first, second and third place medals for each age category, beginning with 18 and under and continuing through 80 and older. Students who are still in elementary through high school register free. Sponsorship opportunities are available and are limited on a first come, first serve basis.
