About the race
Miles for Migraine New York is an annual fundraising event organized by the nonprofit Miles for Migraine to raise awareness and funds for migraine and headache disease. The event takes place in person on October 17, 2026 at Randall's Island, 10 Central Road, New York, NY, and is offered as a hybrid event with a virtual option running October 15 to 18, 2026.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5K run, professionally timed
- 2 Mile walk, untimed
- Relax, untimed participation option
Proceeds from the event support local migraine and headache disease research, education for headache fellows in New York, and Miles for Migraine programming in the city. Named beneficiary headache centers include Montefiore, Mt. Sinai, Weill Cornell and NYU Langone, alongside Miles for Migraine.
For virtual participants, any form of intentional movement completed on the participant's own schedule is acceptable. Virtual participants may receive event swag and a finisher medal by mail for an additional fee. Registration for the in person event is open to all.
