Event Overview

The 8th annual Miles for Migraine - Buffalo event takes place at Delaware Park. This community-focused gathering serves as a fundraiser for migraine and headache awareness, treatment, and research. The event features a professionally timed running race, an untimed walking option, and a dedicated relaxation area. All finishers in the walk and run events receive a finisher medal.

Participants can choose from the following activity options:

  • 5K Run: A chip-timed competitive run.
  • 2 Mile Walk: An untimed walk where participants may turn around at any point.
  • Relax with us: A non-walking/running option with a dedicated tent for coloring and social connection.
  • Virtual Event: For those unable to attend in person, involving activities such as biking, yoga, or swimming.

The festival area includes speakers and sponsor booths where attendees can connect with the local migraine and headache community. Awards are presented for top fundraisers, the largest advocate teams, and the spirit award. Competitive awards are also given to the first-place overall female, male, and non-binary finishers in the 5K category. Funds raised during the event benefit local research and fellowship training programs at the DENT Neurologic Institute and University of Buffalo.

Packet pick-up is available on the day prior to the event at Fleet Feet Buffalo and on the morning of the event at Delaware Park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
