Miles for a Mission 5K - 14th Annual
Miles for a Mission is a 5K Run/Walk held in Stamford, Connecticut, with both in-person and virtual participation options. The in-person event takes place at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 2810 Long Ridge Road, and the virtual option is open during a multi-day window in September. Both timed and untimed in-person entries are offered; timed registrants will have their finish time and place recorded and results will be posted a few days after the event. The 5K course is USATF certified.
The event includes a Dogapalooza portion with activities and a contest featuring categories such as Best Trick, Looks Most Like Your Dog, and Best in Show. The virtual option allows participants to complete a personal 5K by walking, running, jogging, hiking, swimming, or using a treadmill during the event window.
Registration for all options opens April 22, 2026 and closes August 9, 2026. The stated registration fee for each option is $30. Proceeds from the event will benefit INTEMPO, a nonprofit organization founded in 2011 that provides classical and multi-cultural music instruction, builds life skills, and fosters community for young people in Fairfield County and surrounding areas.
