Miles 4 Moore Pinecone 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run
The 3rd Annual Miles 4 Moore Pinecone 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run is a local community event held in Whispering Pines, North Carolina. The race serves to raise funds for the Whispering Pines Veterans Memorial and promote a wellness lifestyle.
The event features two distances:
- Miles 4 Moore Pinecone 5K
- Miles 4 Moore Pinecone 1-Mile Fun Run
The course takes participants through local neighborhoods, beginning and ending at the Whispering Pines Police and Fire Department. Hardee Lane is closed to traffic during the morning hours to accommodate the runners. Event parking is available at Whispering Pines Park.
Participants receive a small finisher's gift provided by the Sandhills Running Club. Prizes are awarded to the top male and female finishers in both the 5K and 1-mile categories. Additionally, finishing medals are provided to the first 100 individuals who cross the finish line.
Packet pickup is available the evening before the race at Whispering Pines Park, with a second opportunity for packet pickup and registration on the morning of the event at the start line. T-shirts are included for those who register by the beginning of September, with a limited quantity available for purchase on the day of the race.
