Miles 4 Moore Pinecone 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run

The Miles 4 Moore Pinecone event is the third annual local running event held in Whispering Pines, NC on April 18, 2026. The event raises funds for the Whispering Pines Veterans Memorial and aims to connect the local community while promoting awareness of a wellness lifestyle. The course begins and ends at the Whispering Pines Police/Fire Department and runs through the surrounding neighborhood. Hardee Lane will be closed for the duration of the event.

Event parking is located at Whispering Pines Park (10 Hardee Lane). Packet pickup is scheduled the evening before at Whispering Pines Park, and same-day registration and packet pickup are available at the start line. T-shirts cannot be guaranteed for registrations after April 7, 2026; a limited supply will be available for purchase on race day.

All participants receive a small finisher gift courtesy of Sandhills Running Club. Prizes are awarded to the top male and female in both distances, and finisher medals are distributed to the first 100 finishers. The event is organized locally and centers on neighborhood roads and community participation.
