Miles 4 Moore Pinecone 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run
The Miles 4 Moore Pinecone event takes place on September 12, 2026 in Whispering Pines, North Carolina. The runs begin and end at the Whispering Pines Police and Fire Department at 14 Hardee Lane, and event parking is at Whispering Pines Park at 10 Hardee Lane. The course runs through the local neighborhood.

The event raises money for the Whispering Pines Veterans Memorial and aims to connect the local community while promoting a wellness lifestyle. Packet pickup is scheduled for the evening before the race at Whispering Pines Park and same day packet pickup and registration are available at the start line.
All participants receive a small finisher gift provided by Sandhills Running Club. Prizes will be awarded to the top male and top female for both the 5K and the 1 Mile. Finishers medals will be distributed to the first 100 finishers. T-shirt availability is limited for registrations after September 1, 2026, and additional shirts may be available for purchase on race day.
