Event Details

The Mile High Rescue Sixth Annual 5K Running for Rescues event takes place on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Mile High Rescue, 6351 S. Peoria Street in Englewood, Colorado. It is the sixth edition of this event and coincides with the Zodiac Year of the Fire Horse.

Distances

The event offers several participation options:

  • 5K (onsite or virtual)
  • 1 Mile Fun Run (onsite or virtual) There are also onsite participation categories for Girls on the Run or School Run Clubs, and a discounted "howdy partners" group option for the 5K.

Registration & Fees

Registration includes an official event t-shirt, a course map, and interactive tracking and results via the RaceJoy app. A Summer Kick-Off Party after the race is free for runners. Prizes are offered for the top male and female 5K finishers.

Standard registration fees are listed as $38.10 for adults (19-99) and $27.50 for youth (11-18). Kids aged 10 and under can participate for free. A group discount is available: a group of four or more pays a total of $100. Registration also includes fees.

Post-Race Party

The Summer Kick-Off Party features activities such as hobby horse races, lawn games, horse grooming demonstrations, face painting, live music, Kona Ice, and local food trucks. Pony rides are available for an additional $15 fee. Party-only tickets can be purchased separately for those not participating in the run.
