Mike Hess Brewing 5K Fun Run
This event is a casual, untimed 5K run, walk, or jog hosted at Mike Hess Brewing in North Park, San Diego. It is part of the 2026 California Brewery Running Series and uses a clearly marked route that starts and ends at the brewery taproom. The course is open to traffic, so participants must follow all traffic laws.
Registration includes one craft brew from Mike Hess Brewing at the finish and a choice of Brewery Running Series swag, such as a collector's pint glass or a seasonal item. The post-run program features music, games, prizes, and partner giveaways. Ten percent of proceeds from the event are allocated to local nonprofit organizations, with named partners including East LA Rising, Radiate Motivate, and Alma Family Services.
On event day the run remains untimed, there is no bag check, and dogs and strollers are allowed with care and in accordance with brewery policies. Participants under 21 must present ID to receive an alcoholic beverage and will be offered a nonalcoholic beverage instead. The event is scheduled to take place rain or shine; if conditions make running unsafe, organizers plan to continue gathering at the brewery for post-event activities.
