Event overview

Midwest States 100 is an ultrarunning event held August 29-30, 2026, near Westboro, Wisconsin. The course is mostly on the Ice Age National Scenic Trail and runs through Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. The route passes lakes and forested terrain carved by ancient glaciers. The start and finish address for all races is W7969 Park Rd, Westboro, WI 54490. The field is kept intentionally small and the course uses a lightly traveled section of trail. Camping is available in the park; no camping is allowed at the start/finish line.

Runners reach the start/finish line at the 100k mark; participants may stop there for an official 100K finish or continue toward the 100 Mile finish.

Registration, fees and policies

Early bird pricing applies until January 15 with listed fees for each distance. Camping add-on is available for $35 and includes one 2-man tent space plus one car or one small camper van per site. Registration closes on August 25. Transfers of bibs are allowed through August 1. The event offers rollover options: full rollover if arranged by 70 days before the event per policy, 50% race credit if done by 25 days before, and a 100% rollover option up to the day before the race for volunteers who complete eight hours at the event.
