Midwest States 100 is a trail race held August 29, 2026 in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest near Westboro, Wisconsin. The course runs largely on the Ice Age Trail, a 1,000 mile footpath contained entirely within Wisconsin and designated a National Scenic Trail.
Distances offered:
- 100 mile
- 100k
- 50k
The race start and finish are at W7969 Park Rd, Westboro, WI 54490. Course terrain includes singletrack and dirt forest roads, lakes, rocky terrain, open prairies, and forests shaped by ancient glaciers. Much of the route passes through less traveled trails and forest sections where landscape character changes between segments.
Organizers rent the Spearhead campground for participants and note that campsite spots are limited and require early reservation. The schedule includes pre-race camping and planned get-to-know-each-other events on the Thursday before the race. A Facebook training group and a Facebook race page are used for updates and community discussion. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
