MIDNIGHT Rat Race UNSANCTIONED
The MIDNIGHT Rat Race UNSANCTIONED is an unsanctioned, self-navigated running event held in the heart of Springfield, Missouri on October 16th. Start and finish points will be released the week of the race and participants must travel from point A to point B without course markings, volunteers, or provided directions.
The course covers approximately 13.1 miles and runs through urban terrain that may include sidewalks, roads, alleys, and grass. The event has a maximum time limit of 3 hours and 15 minutes to reach the finish location.
Because there is no official course support, participants are responsible for their own navigation, safety, and supplies. The event description notes inherent risks associated with an unsanctioned, unsupported night route and indicates it is intended for runners who understand and accept those risks.
Additional organizational details include an entry fee of $45.00 and registration open and close dates. The event is designated UNSANCTIONED, and standard race-day amenities and volunteer direction are not provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
