Midnight Madness Run
The 37th Annual Midnight Madness Run is organized by StartLine Racing at Kiwanis Park Soccer Field Cross Country Course in Tempe, AZ (6111 S All America Way). The event comprises two in-person 5K races around New Year’s and a virtual option that includes mailed items for US addresses.
Registration options include:
- Final 5K of 2026
- First 5K of 2027
- Virtual run with both medals and shipped items for US addresses only
Event inclusions and services noted for participants are custom finisher medals (two medals connect into one large medal for those in both races), a custom dri-fit tech long sleeve hooded shirt with an option to decline the shirt for a small discount, and chip timing with real time results and event photos.
Awards are provided to the top three male and female finishers in standard age groups, ranging from 8 and under through 80 and over. A New Year’s celebration with a sparkling cider toast takes place between the two in-person races.
Logistics include packet pick-up opportunities on the day before the event at Road Runner Sports in Tempe and at the event site on race day, a published 5K course map on Strava, a note that the course may be changed if deemed unsafe, leashed pet friendly policy, no bag check due to the common start and finish area, and a no refund policy for inclement weather.
