37th Annual Midnight Madness Run
The 37th Annual Midnight Madness Run takes place at the Kiwanis Park Soccer Field Cross Country Course in Tempe, Arizona on December 31, 2026 and continues into January 1, 2027. The event includes two separate 5K races: the final 5K of 2026 and the first 5K of 2027, with a New Year celebration and a sparkling cider toast between the races.
Registration options include a Double Down entry for both races, single entries for the final or first 5K, and a virtual run option. Virtual registrations are restricted to US addresses only and event items for virtual participants are shipped after the event. Race day registration is available and packet pick-up is offered the day before at Road Runner Sports in Tempe and on event night at Kiwanis Park South Entrance.
Entrants receive event items such as a custom finisher's medal and a dri-fit tech long sleeve hooded shirt, with an option to decline the shirt for a reduced fee. Those who run both events receive two medals that connect into a larger medal. The event uses chip timing with real time results and photos. Male and female age group awards are given to the top three in a range of standard age divisions.
