37th Annual Midnight Madness Run
The event takes place at Kiwanis Park Soccer Field Cross Country Course in Tempe, AZ on December 31, 2026 and continues into January 1, 2027. It features the final 5K race of 2026 and the first 5K race of 2027, plus a Double Down option to run both races and a Virtual Run option with shipping for US addresses.
Organized by StartLine Racing, the event includes chip timing with real time results and race photos, male and female age group awards for the top three in standard age categories, and a sparkling cider toast at midnight. Registered participants receive a custom finisher's medal; those who run both events receive two connectable medals that form one larger medal. A custom dri fit long sleeve hooded shirt is available with an option to decline the shirt for a reduced fee.
Packet pick up is available at Road Runner Sports in Tempe the day before the event and at the event site on race day evening. Race day check in opens on site and race day registration is offered. The event is pet friendly for leashed animals, does not offer bag check because of a common start and finish area, and has no refunds for inclement weather.
