Event overview
The Cocking Trail Races take place on Sunday 10 May 2026, with senior and junior trail races based at the Cadence Cycle Club Café, Cocking, Midhurst GU29 0HT. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules (TRA licence number 7176). Entries are limited to 350 runners and must be made online; no entries are available on the day. The adult race minimum age is 16 years.

Course and race features
The routes run across the South Downs, crossing the Cowdray Estate, the West Dean Estate and sections of the South Downs Way. The course is mainly on footpaths and bridleways with a few short stretches on quiet country lanes. Notable features include the derelict site of West Monkton on the route and The Devil's Jumps on the 20 km route. Water stations are provided (a station at about 4 km for the 10 km, and an additional station at about 12 km for the 20 km). The route will be signposted and marshalled throughout.
Race services
The event offers chip timing, finisher medals, podium and age-category prizes, spot prizes, on-site parking and bike parking, toilets, and race village refreshments. Junior races start from a point about 1 km west of the race HQ and involve a marshalled walk to the start. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
