Cocking Trail Races

Event Overview
The Cocking Trail Races take place on Sunday, 10th May 2026. The event starts from the Cadence Cycle Club Café at Hilltop, Cocking, near Midhurst. The races feature a hilly and scenic trail route across the South Downs, including sections of the Cowdray Estate and the West Dean Estate. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules.
Multiple race distances are available:
- 10 km trail race
- 20 km trail race
- Junior trail races for age categories 6-8, 9-11, and 12-15 years
Event Information
Registration is online only, with no entries available on the day. Entry for the adult 10k is £19 for affiliated runners and £21 for non-affiliated runners. Participation is limited to 350 runners, and all runners in the adult races must be at least 16 years old. Dogs and Canicross are not permitted on the course.
On-site amenities include chip timing, a finisher's medal, prizes for leading runners and category winners, spot prizes, toilets, car parking, bike parking, and refreshments in a race village.
