Mid-Summer 5K Challenge
The Mid-Summer 5K Challenge is a road run and walk held at Bloomington High School North on August 1, 2026. The event supports the boys and girls Bloomington High School North Cross Country Teams. The distance is a 5K (3.1 miles) and the course ends with a run on the school track.
The course begins next to the bleachers of the Bloomington North track and field facility and follows a loop using Prow Road, Kinser Pike, and Acuff Road, including the main road on the Bloomington North campus. Both mile and kilometer markers are provided along the route, and the final 300 meters are on the Ralph Sieboldt Track.
The published registration fee is $15.00. Age group awards for the run are given by gender and include Top 3 Overall and the following age divisions: 10 & Under, 11-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & Over. Walk participants are recognized with Top Five Overall awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
