Mid-Summer 5K Challenge
The Mid-Summer 5K Challenge is a road event held at Bloomington High School North in Bloomington, Indiana, on August 1, 2026. The event features a 5K run and a 5K walk, each covering 3.1 miles. Registration fees are $20 for each event. Registration for the run opens June 22, 2026, and registration for the walk opens July 3, 2026; registration closes on August 1, 2026.
The course begins next to the bleachers of the Bloomington North track and field facility and follows a loop that uses Prow Road, Kinser Pike, and Acuff Road, including the main road on the Bloomington North campus. Both miles and kilometers are marked along the route. The final 300 meters take place on the Ralph Sieboldt Track.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Bloomington High School North boys and girls cross country teams. Age-group awards for the run are given separately for male and female categories and include overall top three plus age groups 10 and under, 11-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over.
