Michael's Run 5K
Michael's Run 5K is an annual community road race held each October in Hopkinton. The event covers three miles on a fall day and follows a road course through the local New England landscape.
Neighbors, families, volunteers, and supporters attend to run, walk, or wheel the course. Participants noted for the event include experienced runners, families pushing strollers, individuals with disabilities, and community members who come to be part of the gathering.
The run is organized by the Respite Center and is presented in memory of a person whose spirit continues to inspire the center's work. Proceeds and attention from the event support the Respite Center's programs that serve children and adults with disabilities.
The event is described as a community celebration focused on inclusion and shared purpose. It brings people of different ages and abilities together in Hopkinton to support local disability services and to mark the Respite Center's ongoing role in the community.
