Delta Sigma Pi Michael Hayes 5K
The Delta Sigma Pi Michael Hayes 5K is a 5K run/walk held on April 12, 2026 in Oxford, Ohio at Leonard Howell Park. The event is organized by the Alpha Upsilon Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi at Miami University and is presented as an annual benefit.
Proceeds support the Michael G. Hayes Memorial Scholarship Fund, which assists Miami University students who are battling life-threatening illnesses while pursuing higher education. Services provided to scholarship recipients include door-to-door transportation to class, transport to and from medical appointments, insulin, motorized wheelchairs, and grocery delivery.
The event offers age-group divisions: 17 and under, 18-24, 25-49, 50-64, and 65 and older. The registration fee is $25 and a T-shirt is included with each registration. Results are professionally timed by Running Time Race Services using MyLaps disposable bib tags mounted on the bib; participants are not required to return timing tags.
Awards recognize overall male and female winners and top male and female performers in each age category. Pre-race activities include raffle baskets and music.
