Annual MI Hot Dog Mile - Detroit
The Annual MI Hot Dog Mile takes place on June 7, 2026 at Eastern Market, 2515 Riopelle St., Detroit, MI 48207. The event combines eating and running: individual participants consume four hot dogs and complete four quarter-mile laps, a total of 1 mile. A relay option is available for teams of four; each team member eats one hot dog and runs one quarter-mile.
The event uses multiple entry waves for individual runners. Individual waves are limited to a maximum of 50 runners per wave. The relay field is limited to a maximum of 30 teams. Registration details vary by wave: most waves and spectator tickets open on November 7, 2025 and close on May 15, 2026; one individual wave opens on March 13, 2026 and closes on April 15, 2026. Fees listed for entry include $20.00 for individual runner registration, $60.00 per relay team, and $5.00 for a spectator ticket.
