Meyerhoff's Mayhem
Meyerhoff's Mayhem is an endurance running event held at Big Woods Campground in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The event offers both an individual 48 hour option and a 48 hour team relay option for teams of 2 to 4 people.
- 4 miles every 4 hours for a total of 48 hours.
- Optional 2-mile add-on after the final leg.
The route starts from the tent area and uses paved trails and the disc golf course, providing a mix of surfaces and terrain. Teams may divide legs among members in any configuration. Ruck participants may carry the weight of their choice. Halloween costumes are encouraged.
Light meals and water are provided throughout the event; the planned menu includes items such as veggie broth, energy balls, GU energy gel, donuts, bagels, fruit, chicken noodle soup, peanut butter sandwiches, chips, sloppy joes, and pasta salad. Race sweatshirts are listed for participants, t-shirts for volunteers, and medals for finishers.
Personal lights are required for running in the dark. Pets are not allowed for the runs. Registrations placed after September 11 are not guaranteed a shirt. Registration closes Thu, Oct 15. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
