Meyerhoff's Mayhem

Meyerhoff's Mayhem is an in-person endurance event held at Big Woods Campground in Cedar Falls, IA. The event consists of twelve repeated legs of four miles each, run every four hours over a 48 hour period, with an optional two mile add-on after the final leg that brings the event total to 50 miles.

Course routing begins and finishes at the Big Woods tent camp area, crosses a paved trail, weaves through prairie sections, routes through portions of the disc golf course, passes near the yard waste drop-off, and circles the lake before returning to the camp area. The route will be marked with orange event flags. Organizers note there may be themed helpers on course for direction.

Participation options include solo entrants and teams of up to four people. Solo participants must complete all twelve legs. Teams must ensure at least one member completes each leg and may divide legs among members, but each individual who runs a leg must complete the full four mile distance. All legs must be completed on site; there is no virtual option. The event is not chip timed.

Onsite amenities and rules: personal lights are required for dark runs, pets are not allowed on the runs, drinking water and port-a-johns will be available, and limited food and fueling will be provided.
