Meyerhoff's Mayhem

Meyerhoff's Mayhem is an endurance event held at Big Woods Campground in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The format consists of repeated legs over a 48 hour period, with participants completing the same distance every interval. Teams and individuals may enter; team relays are for two to four people and team members may divide legs as they choose. Ruck participants may carry weight of their choice. Halloween costumes are encouraged.

Distances:

• 4 miles every four hours for 48 hours
• Optional 2 mile add on after the final leg

The route begins at the campground tent area and uses paved trails and a disc golf course for varied terrain. Light meals and water are provided at each leg; sample items listed include broths, energy balls, GU, donuts, bagels, fruit, soups, sandwiches, chips, and pasta salad, but the menu may change. Race sweatshirts are listed for participants, t shirts for volunteers, and medals for finishers.

Personal lights are required for the overnight segments. Pets are not permitted for the runs. Registrations after 2026-09-11 are not guaranteed a shirt. The event has a no refund policy.
