Meyerhoff's Mayhem : Cedar Falls, Iowa
Meyerhoff's Mayhem is a 48-hour endurance event scheduled for October 16, 2026, at Big Woods Campground in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The basic format is four miles every four hours over a 48-hour period, with an optional two-mile add-on after the final leg. The event offers two entry formats:
- 48-hour Individual
- 48-hour Team Relay (2-4 people)
The route starts from the tent area and combines paved trails with sections that use the disc golf course, providing varied terrain. Aid and refreshments are provided throughout the event; planned items include GU, water, veggie broth, energy balls, donuts, bagels, fruit, chicken noodle soup, peanut butter sandwiches, chips, sloppy joes, pasta salad, and bars. Organizers will supply light meals and water, and the menu may be adjusted as details are finalized.
Participants receive race sweatshirts and finishers receive medals; volunteers receive t-shirts. Teams may divide the legs among members as they choose. Ruck participants may use a weight of their choice. Personal lights are required for running during dark hours. Pets are not allowed on the run course.
