Mesa Marathon
The Mesa Marathon takes place on February 13, 2027 in Mesa, Arizona. The event offers multiple distances and an expo the day before at Sloan Park where participants pick up bibs, timing chips, and race shirts. The finish area and post-race festival are at Riverview Park and include runner services, recovery food, medical personnel, and a Beer Garden for those of legal age.
Distances
- Marathon: nearly 1,000 feet net elevation loss; USATF certified and Boston qualifier.
- Half Marathon: nearly 200 feet net elevation loss; USATF certified.
- 10K: begins at Fitch Park and routes through historic downtown Mesa to Riverview Park.
- Kids 1K: free, non-timed for children 12 and under; limited to the first 700 registrants.
Course support includes aid stations with water, restrooms, basic first aid, some stations offering gels, fruit, and muscle relief. Pacers will lead the marathon and half marathon using a Smart Pacing strategy; pace guide wristbands are available at the expo. Time limits apply and support vehicles and medical transport are provided for participants who cannot maintain the required pace. Awards are given to top finishers and cash prizes are listed for the top three men and women in the marathon and half marathon. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
