Mesa Marathon
The Mesa Marathon event on February 13, 2027 offers multiple race distances and race-week activities in Mesa, Arizona. Distances include:
- Marathon: 26.2 miles, starts near Usery Mountain, nearly 1,000 feet net elevation loss.
- Half Marathon: 13.1 miles, starts on McDowell, about 200 feet net elevation loss.
- 10K: starts at Fitch Park, joins main route, finishes at Riverview Park.
- Kids 1K: free, non-timed, along Riverview Park sidewalks, limited to the first 700 registrants.
The marathon and half marathon courses are USATF sanctioned and certified. The marathon route is measured on tangents and includes descriptive turn-by-turn directions; the half and 10K routes also follow mapped city streets into the same finish area. Aid station coverage is provided along each course: 13 stations for the marathon, 7 for the half, and 4 for the 10K, supplying water, electrolyte beverage, portable restrooms, basic first aid, and select fuel gels and fruit. Designated medical personnel, EMT access, and sag vehicles will operate on course.
Pacers will lead both the full and half marathons using a Smart Pacing plan, with pace guide wristbands available at the expo. The race expo is Friday, February 12, 2027 at Sloan Park and includes bib pickup, vendor booths, and shirt distribution. The finish festival at Riverview Park provides runner services, post-race recovery items, medals for eligible finishers, and a beer garden for legal-age participants with ID.
